It was a big night on Saturday at the Bay Horse Unsworth for the Prestwich Heys race night fundraiser organised by new chairman John Lyons and the events committee hosted by David from Nite Out Promotions Westhoughton www.racenightsuk.com.
Six races were held four horse races and to keep things interesting an afghan hound race and a pig race was also thrown into the mix. Eight names for each of the for the first five races were all bought for £10 each beforehand along with the races being sponsored for £50 each and the final race was auctioned off on the night.

Race 1 The Notorious D.I.B winner Andy Brown
Race 2 Ricks Big Microphone winner Rick Barrett
Race 3 Robo's Asda Bag winner Mark Robertson
Race 4 Horsey Mc horse face winner J Garre and L Howarth
Race 5 Queen Rebecca of Arabia winner DBR Group.
Race 6 was auctioned off to the highest bidder and the winner of £280 was chairman John Lyons who donated his winnings straight back to the club.
A special thank you has to be given to the supporters of yesterdays opponents FC Isle of Man , a dozen or so of them turned up after already buying several names beforehand and joined in the fun making bets and bidding on the final race before heading off in taxi's to get a ferry from Heysham at 2am. This is what non league football is all about these fans are a credit to a great club and are welcome to Prestwich anytime, a top bunch of people.
