A strike from George Kattah on the stroke of half time prevented Prestwich Heys registering a first league win of the season at Stockport Sports Village home of Stockport Town on Monday night.

Heys were looking for a response after a disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Burscough on Friday night gave a debut to keeper Lee White who had previously been at Irlam for a lengthy spell, while midfielder Alfie Belcher returned from injury.
It was Stockport first out of the blocks with Tobias Green in the sixth minute who cut inside and brought an early save from White.
Prestwich were soon into it though and it was Takura Sambizi soon after lively down the left knocking a cross in that evaded the front everyone and he fired over the bar just after.
This pressure soon told though when Heys midfielder Rob Worrall dispossessed the Stockport defence and fired past Town keeper Joshua Schofield from six yards to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead.
This started a good spell of pressure for Prestwich and on twenty five minutes a ball over from the right found Sambizi, who's shot hit the outside of the post and shortly after Bryson Appleton was dangerous down the right having a cross cleared.
Back came Stockport with a big chance on the half hour Josh Fowles lobbing Heys keeper White but he just managed to get a touch on to clear it.
With the tempo increasing, scorer Worrall fired a twenty yard free kick just wide for Heys and it was them looking the more likely with the upper hand but just as it looked like they would hold out to the break the hosts equalised when Kattah broke into the box and fired past White for 1-1 on the stroke of half time.
All to play for then and as quickly as Prestwich started the first half it was Town much quicker out of the blocks in the second.
Kattah again on fifty two minutes bringing another save from White having an impressive debut and made a presence on sixty two minutes flawing a one on in which Fowles fired wide.
It was Stockport doing all the running and Heys made a few substitutions to freshen things up but their first chance of the second half came from Dre Taylor smashing the crossbar on seventy four minutes and this seemed to revive the visitors who started to press a higher line.
Worrall knocked a dangerous ball in that was cleared and Prestwich also had a couple of free kicks in and around the box which couldn't be converted , referee awarded four minutes of injury time but neither team could force a way through and finished in a 1-1 draw.
So it was a good point in the end for Prestwich Heys in this game of two halves though similar to Fridays game v Burscough they will be disappointed with a sluggish start to the second half, however they are now currently unbeaten on the road in all competitions and travel again to Atherton Collieries in the first Preliminary round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
